Is it tight, shallow, and stuck in your chest? I’m guessing yes — most of us are breathing like we’re bracing for impact without even realizing it. But here’s the thing: your breath is constantly signaling to your body whether you’re safe or in danger. Prioritize slow, deep inhales — filling your belly and chest — then long, slow exhales. Bonus: try adding a physiological sigh (a double inhale, followed by a slow exhale) to calm your nervous system fast. Still struggling? Nobody tells you this, but skipping meals or waiting too long between eating tells your body it’s unsafe — triggering anxiety. Prioritize protein, healthy fats, and fiber every 3-4 hours to keep your blood sugar steady and avoid the mood swings and anxious spirals that come with crashes.Stop drinking coffee on an empty stomach.
I get it — we’re all addicted. But caffeine first thing, without food, spikes your cortisol and wrecks your hormones. Always eat a protein, fat, and fiber-rich breakfast before your coffee to support blood sugar, mood, and hormone balance.Hydrate, babe.
Even mild dehydration increases cortisol and makes anxiety worse. Keep sipping — your nervous system will thank you.Get outside — sunlight and grounding matter.
